
COLIPA: Technical Regulatory Internship

Job Description
Main tasks:
- Assist the Science & Research Department in the area of technical-regulatory issue
- management, mainly related to :
- safety of cosmetic ingredients
- implementation of the new EU Regulation of Cosmetic Products
- Monitor and assess scientific / technical regulatory developments
- Contribute to the drafting of industry action plans, positions / recommendations
- Write articles for the Colipa newsflash / newsletter
- Contribute to general tasks within the Department.
- Profile:
- Fluent English and willing to work in a dynamic international association
- Advanced in academic studies on life sciences (biology, pharmacology, toxicology …)
- Strong written communication skills
- Interest in regulatory aspects of cosmetic products safety
- Knowledge of MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Good organisation skills, flexibility, ability to work independently as well as in team and
- under pressure, a strong sense of responsibility is a must
Important – Conditions
Belgian legislation does not permit internships to be paid. However a monthly refund of
expenses is foreseen.
The internship can only be considered in the context of studies and a Convention de Stage (a tripartite agreement signed by the employer, the intern and his/her university or college) has to be signed. Prospective interns must imperatively fulfil this requirement to apply and be available to start in June-July or September 2009.
