AEDES, the European Agency for Development and Health, is a private consulting company specialised in public health. AEDES operates in industrialised, developing and intermediate countries, for private and public organisations.

The business development (BD) team is in charge to identify market opportunities, and to prepare proposals and tenders in order to bid and win new contracts.

This recruitment aims to support the BD team from December till May 2018, period during which members of the staff will be partially off for personal reasons.  The contract and position is thus of fixed length for 6 months.

The successful candidate will support the business development team. Organizational and administrative tasks to be handled include:

  • Preparing the administrative documents for all tendering processes
  • Identifying, in coordination with the BD team, the freelance experts to contact in order to propose them to be part of an assignment or project team.
  • Contacting freelance experts for the above.
  • Keeping track of experts’ answers and consolidating experts’ applications for each offer.
  • Professionally editing the experts’ CVs before presenting them in an offer.
  • Professionally editing all offers and documents.
  • Updating the experts’ database.
  • Providing secretarial services, including correspondence, filing, maintaining records,

The following competences and skills are required:

  • A bachelor Degree or comprehensive training in administration and several years of working experience in administration ideally in the field of social development and/or on bids for European Commission or other main Donors’ service contracts;
  • The applicant should demonstrate a conscientious attitude, the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently in his/her area of responsibility, yet seeking guidance when required;
  • Proactive personality, combined with very good diplomacy and assertive skills;
  • Very good communication and negotiation skills in English and French are a must.
  • High accuracy and attention to details;
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines;
  • Ability to work in multicultural environment/team;
  • Excellent command of MS office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
