The work consists of:

  • Working independently to deliver the objectives and actively communicate and coordinate with the stakeholders within and outside the association (;
  • Contributing to relevant internal and external working groups and develop related ERGaR positions and advocacy materials in collaboration with ERGaR members and other partners;
  • Contributing to advocacy activities towards policymakers on legislative and policy matters, notably to the European Commission, European Parliament, the Council of the European Union, and Member States;
  • Working with the ERGaR membership and assist the Secretary General is the day-to-day management of the activities of the association;
  • Managing the association’s website and the related LinkedIn Group,
  • Preparing public presentation and be in a position to defend ERGaR’s positions, including with the media;
  • Providing input to general ERGaR documents and processes (e.g. memoranda to the President, reports to ERGaR Executive Board, articles in publications etc).
  • Contributing to the EU funded R&D projects on behalf of the association.

Qualities and experiences required for post:

  • Have a relevant academic degree;
  • Have work experience with EU/national natural gas and/or renewable energy and/or environmental policy, including analysis and formulation of policy;
  • Be capable of understanding and presenting, in written and oral form, key political, economic and legal dimensions of a topic;
  • Have good communications and networking skills, feel confident to take the floor at public events;
  • Be experienced in facilitating multi-stakeholder groups and integrating various point of views (e.g. different stakeholders, various economic actors along value chains);
  • Have a sound grasp of the operation of EU institutions and EU renewable energy law and a good understanding of key elements of EU renewable energy legislative processes;
  • Be able to speak and write English fluently, with fluency in other EU languages being considered an asset;
  • Be well organised and a team player, while able to work independently.
