Analyst - Europe and CIS


Stratas Advisors, a Hart Energy Company, seeks a full-time Analyst, Europe & CIS to join our Fuel & Transport team in the Brussels office.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Assist in performing data research on fuel quality specifications, vehicle emission standards, regulatory and market developments of transportation fuels including but not limited to biofuels and alternative fuels. Primary focus will be given to fuel quality specifications and vehicle emission standards in Europe and CIS. Secondary focus will be given to alternative fuel and other energy and transport issues in the CIS region.
  • Update Country Profiles and Datatools for Europe and CIS. 
  • Help coordinate data and information sharing with other teams within Stratas Advisors.
  • Provide both analytical support and market insight for strategic consulting engagements on an ad hoc basis.
  • Represent Stratas Advisors at client meetings and industry events.



  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Sciences or International Policy.
  • Fluency in English and Russian, with European language skills a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving/critical thinking skills
  • High level of personal interest and enthusiasm in the energy and automotive industries.
  • Strongly preferred: 2 years of experience in an analyst/research position or other relevant role at a consulting firm, oil company, or automotive company
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment with rapidly shifting priorities such as consulting is desirable.
  • Willingness to travel for business on an occasional basis.
