Administrative Assistant, Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS)

Job description:

  • Administrative support related to governance, meeting logistics and leadership travel.
  • Administration of FENS grants & awards, neuroscience outreach and history initiatives.
  • General administrative support to the Executive Director and Office Manager, including day-to- day accounting.
  • The Administrative Assistant reports to the Office Manager of FENS.

Qualifications and profile

  • You have impeccable language skills with a fluent command of both spoken and written English.
  • You are well organised and naturally team oriented and friendly.
  • You are familiar with the use of standard emailing and website management, including bulk
  • emailing, CMS administration and video conferencing.
  • You have 1-3 years of relevant work experience and you are ideally the holder of a professional or academic bachelor degree.
  • You are legally allowed to work in Belgium.

Location and salary 

The position as Administrative Assistant is a full-time position (38h per week), based in the FENS office in Brussels. The job may occasionally require flexibility in terms of working days/hours in connection with meetings and travel (within Europe). FENS offers a permanent contract (CDI, Belgium) with compensation according to the qualifications of the selected candidate. Meal vouchers are offered as part of the contract.
