Cerame-Unie Aisbl (CU) is the European Ceramic Industry Association. Based in Brussels since 1962, it is the voice of the European ceramic industry to the EU institutions. The European ceramic industry accounts for a total annual turnover of €28 billion and generates over 200,000 direct jobs. At EU level, the industry is involved in policy debates in the fields of environment & health, energy & climate change, construction, international trade, internal market and research & innovation. This position will involve a close cooperation with the CU team, particularly with the CU Director General.

Duties will include (non-exhaustive):

  • Providing general office support (i.e. welcome of guests, internal data base updates, travel arrangements, logistics of internal meetings, support in technical issues);
  • Support in organising Cerame-Unie events and particularly the yearly World Ceramic Tiles Forum and the meetings of the World Refractories Association (invitation, logistics, programme);
  • Statistical/data integration work (data collection and compilation);
  • Supporting the team on specific dossiers (monitoring, reporting).

Professional Skills:

  • Excellent written and oral skills in English;
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Ability to deal with data and Excel, methodical skills, attention to detail;
  • At least 6 months’ experience in a similar position;
  • Be flexible, organised and proactive;
  • Ability to work in a small team and set priorities autonomously.
