Job Description

  • Booking the MEPs travel, diary and other administrative tasks
  • Dealing with e-mails, particularly constituents' enquiries, in an efficient and timel manner
  • Working in tandem with the local assistant to oganise meetings and events in the Yorkshire and the Humber region
  • Following the work of two committees in the European Parliament: LIBE (Civil Liberties) and ENVI (Environmental and Public Health)
  • Contributing content to the quarterly newsletter and website
  • Assisting wih the work of other colleagues as required

Key requirements

  • At least a 2:1 degree in a relevant field and a good understanding of the international political scene
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with a keen eye for detail
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a busy team


  • A commitment to the values of the Conservative party
  • Experience of working in the European institutions
  • Knowledge of a foreign language
