Job Description
The European Society of Anaesthesiology based in the centre of Brussels is looking for a full time Accountant.
The European Society of Anaesthesiology is an international Non-profit Association (a.i.s.b.l.) registered in Belgium, which represents anaesthesiologists in Europe. The ESA has a wide portfolio of activities, which include running major annual meetings, publishing the European Journal ln Anaesthesiology and contributing to the running of multilingual training and assessment programmes including the European Diploma in Anaesthesiology and Intensive Care. The Society actively promotes education & research through competitions, grants and fellowship programmes.
Tasks
- To manage A to Z accounting: preparation and execution of journal entries, expense reports, invoicing, etc.
- To manage monthly and yearly closings
- To prepare VAT declarations for Belgium and abroad
- To set up yearly accounts
- To liaise with auditors
- To assist the Executive Director with other financial tasks when required
Profile:
- Hold a degree in accounting
- Have min. 5 years of professional experience in accounting, in Belgium
- Have a good knowledge of Belgian bookkeeping legislation
- Knowledge of the Belgian fiscal legislation
- Fluency in English and French or Flemish
