The European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA) is the world's largest industry association devoted to the solar electricity market.

The association aims to promote photovoltaics at the national, European and worldwide levels and to assist its members in the development of their businesses in both the European Union and in export markets.

A clear and efficient structure * EPIA’s members are companies, over 170 to date representing 95% of the European photovoltaic industry.

EPIA members are active across the whole photovoltaic valuechain and are based in over 20 countries in Europe. National associations only have an observer status within EPIA.

  • EPIA is the sole representative structure of photovoltaics in Europe giving its total representativity.
  • EPIA members are active across the whole photovoltaic value-chain from silicon producers, cells and modules manufacturers to system providers.
  • EPIA’s headquarters are located in the “Renewable House”, a building gathering all associations involved in renewable energy.

  • Representing the European photovoltaic industry vis-à-vis political institutions at European and International level, Informing its members on the latest legislative developments

  • Mobilising the sector via working groups and workshops to define clear positions on political, technical and economical issues

  • Accompanying industrial development by means of political actions
  • Facilitating business-to-business contacts among the industry and the stakeholders of the sector
  • Supporting national organisations in achieving their local objectives
  • Organising conferences where solar electricity has strong potential and requires additional support (e. g. PV Med conference).
